It's down to the wire, and the ads coming out for and against Talent and McCaskill for Senate are simply unbelievable, in just about every sense of the word. Today I received two cardstock Republican-party-sponsored smear ads against McCaskill. Both are all about her husband's finances, property they may have in Bermuda, and how it "probably dodges taxes and the IRS".
Nothing about her position on any matter of substance; nothing about her record in office; nothing except distorted facts designed to convince you to see their perspective.
Distorted facts? Where have we seen these before? Do they think McCaskill has some weapons of mass corruption?
Did I mention that the ads had grammatical errors? Yeesh!
I've also been disgusted with this campaign season. We've been push-polled by both sides, most recently by the anti-Amendment 2 people who said "do you support Amendment 2, which will forever protect and support human cloning?" It's sickening.
