Pledge to survive a bus accident
The other day, my kid "x" was on the bus to school, when their bus was hit by a garbage truck. Nobody got hurt, but the bus had to stay put until police could come and do what they do.
Kid x tells me that to survive they all got out their snacks, and ate them around 9:00. When it got to be 9:30, x realized that it was time to say the Pledge of Allegiance at school, so they had to do this on the bus.
He got everybody to stand up, face the flag flying on a pole in a nearby house, and say the pledge.
