DOC = Domination over Competitors

Congratulations to Chris and the CS softball team for its retributive win in the Wash U IMs (that's IntraMurals, not Instant Messenger!).

Chris and Ben duke it out at tennis today for the CS tennis ladder. Either way, the DOC group will boast of the CS tennis championship. We've thrashed the theory people, vitiated the vision people, and shown yet again that our group is taking over the world one small step at a time (a quote from our founder, fearless leader, and continual source of inspiration, Doug Schmidt).

Just one thing of course would make the victory complete -- if the Blast beat the Chiefs Tuesday night. Our team features two CS people, both of whom have worked in the DOC group. The Chiefs, as far as I know, has no computer science presence whatsoever, and likely has little interest in distributed computing. They wouldn't know a puck from a POA. Too bad for them: they are doomed.

Thanks Ron! We will be there to cheer you on on Tuesday. I'm sure you'll be able to dismantle the Chiefs in Real Time.

Are you sure that your mark and sweep methods of taking out the trash will work in real time? I mean, out on the ice is definately an adversarial situation, so you need to plan for the worst case.
