My wife ran away with my ex-dog

With a name like the "Blues" it's a team you would expect to disappoint.

This was the first year I've followed Blues Hockey, and so now I know what it's like to see defeat snatched out of the jaws of victory. Going to some games was an amazing experience -- to see such great hockey, fast skating, terrific teamwork. I'm not nearly expert enough to say why we didn't make it through the playoffs, so since I don't know whom or what to blame, I will blame the genre of music after which the Blues are named.

You just can't expect positive, uplifting experiences from the blues. It's the kind of music you listen to when you're down and out; when life has dealt you lemons and you've lost the recipe for lemonade; when your dog ran off with your ex-pickup truck.

Maybe if they were the St Louis Vivaces? If they were the St Louis Fusions they'd at least have half a chance.

But like all other Blues fans, I join in the chorus of "there's always next year".

Welcome to the club... I think that a large part of the reason that they didn't make it through was losing MacInnis. That really hurt, especially since Pronger wasn't at full strength. I think the other issue is that they just choked... Not really much to say about that...
