I am sitting here stuffed to the point of not being able to move (or at least not wanting to move), and while I have only myself to blame for my gluttony, the abundance of food, family, and friends makes me thankful indeed.

We live in an amazing country, and as is the case with many comforts, these things are all too easily taken for granted.

It's good we have this day to reflect on our bounty, on our wonderful country, and on the joys we can share together. Here's to you, America; may the Pilgrim spirit never fade.
